Abstract
Disclosed herein are compositions, methods, and devices related to bilayer and monolayer membranes, their encapsulation in a hydrogel, and their formation. Methods of using the disclose compositions and devices are also disclosed.
Claims57
A device for preparing a bilayer or monolayer membrane, comprising:
- a. a substrate;
- b. at least one first microfluidic channel defined in the substrate;
- and
- c. at least one second microfluidic channel defined in the substrate;
- wherein at least one first microfluidic channel connects to and is in communication with at least one second microfluidic channel, and wherein the second microfluidic channel comprises a hydrophobic substance.
