Abstract
A delivery system for delivery of a medical device, the delivery system having an inner member having a proximal section, a distal section and a longitudinal axis therebetween, and an outer member disposed about the inner member, wherein the distal section of the inner member includes at least two wires wound about the inner member.

A delivery system for delivery of a medical device, the delivery system comprising:
- an inner member having a proximal section, a distal section and a longitudinal axis therebetween, and
- an outer member disposed about the inner member,
- wherein the distal section of the inner member includes at least two wires wound about the inner member.
A catheter shaft comprising:
- a multilayered tubular member having an axis and a first layer and a second layer along a length thereof and
- at least first and second coils disposed between the first and second layers,
- wherein the first layer is rotationally free from the second tubular layer and the first and second coils are capable of movement relative to one another.
