Abstract
A method for purification of crude triglycerides to be used as a raw material for production of biodiesel fuel. Crude triglycerides are contacted with a variety of adsorbents and ion exchange resins to reduce the levels of impurities.

A method for purification of crude triglycerides to be used as a raw material for production of biodiesel fuel;
- said method comprising contacting a crude triglyceride stream with:
- (a) at least one adsorbent;
- (b) at least one phenolic resin, metal-containing resin or hydrous metal oxide;
- and (c) at least one cation exchange resin.
