Abstract
The present invention relates to the use of oligosaccharide mixtures for the treatment and/or prevention of infections, in particular for reducing the severity of childhood infection or the treatment and/or prevention of childhood infection.

A method for treating and/or preventing febrile sickness, a febrile event, fever or febrile seizures in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject a nutritional or pharmaceutical composition that comprises a uronic acid saccharide.
