Abstract
The invention is directed to LDCAM as a purified and isolated protein, the DNA encoding the LDCAM, host cells transfected with cDNAs encoding LDCAM, processes for preparing LDCAM polypeptides and compositions and methods for treating utilizing LDCAM polypeptides.
Claims14
An isolated polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) a polypeptide comprising amino acids X1 to X2 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2, wherein X1 is 1 or 39 and X2 is 374 or 442;
- and
- (b) a polypeptide comprising amino acids X3 to X4 of SEQ ID NO:
- 4, wherein X3 is 1 or 21 and X4 is 356 or 423,
2 more elements
An isolated polynucleotide selected from the group consisting of:
- a) a polynucleotide comprising nucleic acids X5 to X6 of SEQ ID NO:
- 1, wherein X5 is nucleic acid 16 or 129 and X6 is 1137 or 1341;
- b) a polynucleotide comprising nucleic acids X7 to X8 of SEQ ID NO:
- 3, wherein X7 is nucleic acid 2 or 31 and X8 is 1099 or 1270;
- c) polynucleotide sequences that hybridize under moderately stringent conditions to nucleic acids 129 to 1137 of SEQ ID NO:1 or nucleic acids 61 to 1099 of SEQ ID NO:3;
- d) polynucleotide sequences that are complementary to the polynucleotides of a) or b);
- and
- e) polynucleotide sequences that, due to the degeneracy of the genetic code, encode a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide encoded by the polynucleotide sequences of a), b), c), or d).
