Methods of using TLE3 as a marker for predicting the likelihood that a patient's cancer will respond to chemotherapy. Methods of using TLE3 as a marker for selecting a chemotherapy for a cancer.

A method for predicting the likelihood that a patient's cancer will respond to chemotherapy comprising steps of:
- providing a cancer sample from a cancer patient;
- determining whether TLE3 is expressed in the cancer sample;
- and
- predicting the likelihood that the patient's cancer will respond to chemotherapy based upon a result of the step of determining.
