Claims20
A method of treating degenerative disc disease in an intervertebral disc having a nucleus pulposus and an annulus fibrosus, comprising transdiscally administering a formulation comprising an anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNFα) antibody and a growth differentiation factor into an intervertebral disc.
The method of claim I wherein the formulation is administered to the disc using a carrier.
A method of therapeutically treating a degenerating intervertebral disc, comprising:
- a) determining a level of a pro-inflammatory protein within the disc,
- b) comparing the level against a pre-determined level of the pro-inflammatory protein,
- c) injecting an anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNFα) antibody and a growth differentiation factor into the disc.
A method of treating degenerative disc disease in an intervertebral disc having a nucleus pulposus and an annulus fibrosus, comprising transdiscally administering a formulation comprising infliximab and GDF-5 into an intervertebral disc.
