Abstract
Molecules that interfere with the binding of a tumor necrosis factor receptor with its ligand, such as a soluble receptor or an anti-receptor antibody, have proven usefulness in both basic research and as therapeutics. The present invention provides antibodies that bind two tumor necrosis factor receptor family members: the transmembrane activator and calcium modulator and cyclophilin ligand-interactor (TACI) receptor, and the B-cell maturation (BCMA) receptor.
Claims22
A method for inhibiting ZTNF4 activity in a mammal, comprising administering a composition that comprises an anti-BCMA-TACI antibody or a fragment thereof to the mammal wherein the cellular source of said ZTNF4 activity expresses BCMA and TACI on its cell surface and the binding to BCMA is within amino acids 1 to 54 of SEQ ID NO:2.
