An access point that can wirelessly communicate with a wireless communication terminal, comprising:

• a storing unit which stores user identification information for identifying a user of the wireless communication terminal;
• a determining unit which, according to user identification information received from the wireless communication terminal and the user identification information stored by the storing unit, determines whether or not to give the wireless communication terminal having sent the user identification information permission to communicate with one of another wireless communication terminal and a device connected with the network via the access point;
• a deciding unit which, according to the determination by the determining unit, inquires another access point about an existence or nonexistence of a registration of the received user identification information and decides an access point to be permitted the connection with the wireless communication terminal;
• and
• a notifying unit which notifies information for connecting to the other access point decided by the deciding unit as an access point permitted to connect with the wireless communication terminal to the wireless communication terminal.

A method of assigning an access point which can wirelessly connect with a wireless communication terminal by an access point, comprising:

• a storing step of storing user identification information for identifying a user of the wireless communication terminals;
• a determining step of, according to user identification information received from the wireless communication terminal and the user identification information registered in the registering step, determining whether or not to permit a communication via the access point between the wireless communication terminal having sent the user identification information and one of another wireless communication terminal and a device connected with the network;
• a deciding step of, according to the determination in the determining step, inquiring another access point about an existence or nonexistence of a registration of the received user identification information, and deciding an access point to be permitted the connection with the wireless communication terminal;
• and
• a notifying step of notifying information for connecting to the other access point decided in the deciding step as an access point permitted to connect with the wireless communication terminal to the wireless communication terminal.
