Method and system for managing communication between a base station and subscriber stations

A base station comprising:

• a scheduling module, the scheduling module adapted to schedule a data slot for at least one subscriber station of a plurality of subscriber stations using a Round Trip Delay (RTD) component, wherein the RTD component is a part of a Transmit/receive Transition Gap (TTG) of the base station;
• and
• a transceiver module, the transceiver module adapted to communicate with the at least one subscriber station based on the scheduling of the data slot for the at least one subscriber station.

A subscriber station comprising:

• a transceiver module, the transceiver module adapted to exchange data with a base station, wherein the data is scheduled to be exchanged in a Round Trip Delay (RTD) component, wherein the RTD component is a part of a Transmit/receive Transition Gap (TTG) of the base station.
