Abstract
A film capacitor including a pair of electrodes having multiple pores is provided. The film capacitor includes a polymer film deposited upon each of the pair of electrodes to form a dielectric layer.

A film capacitor comprising:
- a pair of electrodes comprising a plurality of pores;
- and
- a polymer film deposited upon each of the pair of electrodes to form a dielectric layer.
A method of manufacturing a film capacitor comprising:
- disposing a pair of electrodes;
- forming a plurality of pores on each of the pair of electrodes;
- applying a coating of a polymer film on each of the pair of electrodes;
- and
- winding the electrodes coated with the polymer film into a capacitor.
