A drive for a simmering apparatus which comprises an electric motor and a power converter arrangement which latter includes a rectifier unit, an intermediate circuit unit, an inverter unit and an electronic control unit, wherein the rectifier unit (5), the electronic control unit (6) and the electric motor (1) are combined into one module which is arranged separate from the power input module (8) comprising the rectifier unit (9) and the intermediate circuit (11).
