Abstract
A method and apparatus provides for configuring the backlight brightness level. The backlight brightness level can be configured at the drug library and/or at the medical device, thereby improving the flexibility a user has in changing backlight parameters. A method and apparatus for managing a power saving mode allows the user to configure the power saving program at the drug library and/or at the medical device.
Claims7
A method for configuring a backlight of a medical device in communication with a medication management unit, the method comprising:
- receiving a selected clinical care area of a drug library of the medication management unit;
- setting a default power saving when on A/C mode for the selected clinical care area;
- updating the drug library with the default power saving when on A/C mode;
- and
- transmitting the updated drug library to a memory of the medical device.
