Abstract
In a lighting device with at least one continuous OLED layer (4) with a first electrode layer (5), a second electrode layer (6) and a plurality of optical collimating means, the second electrode layer (6) is only in electrical contact with the OLED layer (4) within spaced sections (6a), arranged within acceptance angles of the collimating means. Such a lighting device can be manufactured efficiently and is highly energy-efficient.
Claims8
A lighting device comprising:
- (i) at least one continuous OLED layer having opposed first and second surfaces,
- (ii) a first electrode layer electrically connected to said first surface of the OLED layer,
- (iii) a second electrode layer electrically connected to said second surface of the OLED layer;
- and
- (iv) a plurality of optical collimating means spaced from the OLED layer by at least said second electrode layer, each defining an acceptance angle, wherein the second electrode layer is in electrical contact with the OLED layer within a plurality of spaced sections arranged within the acceptance angles of the collimating means.
