Abstract
A device for laser welding of a workpiece includes a laser treatment head, a receiver carrying the laser treatment head and displaceable along a linear treatment zone, and a support configured to be temporarily fixable to the workpiece.

A device for laser welding of a workpiece, comprising:
- a laser treatment head;
- a receiver carrying the laser treatment head and displaceable along a linear treatment zone;
- and
- a support configured to be temporarily fixable to the workpiece.

A method for connecting at least two separate workpieces so as to be contiguous at a planar joining region along a treatment zone in order to produce a mould surface for plastics material components of large structural parts, the method comprising:
- temporarily afixing a support to the workpiece;
- displacing a laser treatment head along the treatment zone using a receiver operatively connected to the support;
- directing a laser beam from the laser treatment head to the treatment zone during the displacing so as to deep laser weld the workpieces together.
