Abstract
A method for determining the friction value of a disk brake, in particular of self-energizing disk brakes, in which the friction value is determined on the basis of the: motor current for the application direction and retraction direction, idle current Io, wedge angle α, transmission constant K, and clamping force.
Claims14
A method for determining a coefficient of friction of a self-energizing disk brake with a brake application device having an brake application electric motor, operable to apply brake application forces and retracting forces to the brake lining, comprising the steps of:
- determining an application motor current (Iapplic) of the brake application device electric motor in a brake application direction;
- determining a retraction motor current (Iret) of the brake application device electric motor in a brake retraction direction;
- determining a no load motor current (I0) of the brake application device;
- and
- determining the coefficient of friction as a function of the application motor current, retraction motor current, a predetermined wedge angle (α), a predetermined transmission constant (K) and a predetermined tensioning force (FN).
