Abstract
An apparatus for milking animals having a housing and a suction element arranged inside the housing wherein a pulsation chamber and a teat chamber are formed in said housing at the suction element and wherein at least one opening assigned to the pulsation chamber is provided to apply a gas to the pulsation chamber. Said pulsation chamber is subdivided into multiple pulsation compartments substantially separate from one another.

Apparatus for milking animals, the apparatus comprising:
- a housing;
- liner arranged at least partially inside the housing;
- and
- a pulsation chamber disposed between the housing and the liner wherein the pulsation chamber is subdivided into at least two pulsation compartments.

A device for milking animals the device comprising:
- an inner wall and an outer wall;
- a pulsation chamber defined at least partially by the inner wall and the outer wall;
- and
- a teat chamber, defined at least partially by the outer wall;
- and
- wherein the pulsation chamber is subdivided into a plurality of pulsation compartments.
A method for milking animals with an apparatus including:
- a housing;
- a liner arranged at least partially inside the housing;
- and a pulsation chamber disposed between the housing and the liner;
- and wherein the pulsation chamber is subdivided into at least two pulsation compartments the method comprising the steps of:
- applying different gas pressures at predetermined times to at least two different pulsation compartments that are substantially separate from one another in the pulsation chamber.
