Abstract
In a method and device for depalletizing stack containers, the stacked containers are supported by at least one support base, and the stacked containers on the support base are frictionally engaged and lifted on two opposite sides thereof.

A method for depalletizing stacked containers, comprising the steps of:
- supporting the stacked containers with at least one support base;
- frictionally engaging the stacked containers on the support base with an automatically controlled depalletizing device, and lifting the stacked containers on two opposite sides thereof with the lifting device.
A device for depalletizing stacked containers comprising:
- a support base on which stacked containers are stacked;
- an automatically controlled lifting device that frictionally engages the stacked containers on the support base and that frictionally engages the stacked containers on the support base with opposing rollers on at least two opposite sides thereof;
- and
- said lifting device lifting the frictionally engaged stacked containers with the opposing rollers on said at least two opposite sides on said support base.
