Abstract
According to an aspect of the present invention, medical devices are provided which comprise: (a) a substrate and (b) bioerodable polymeric layer over the substrate that contains (i) one or more biodegradable polymers, (ii) one or more therapeutic agents, and (iii) one or more plasticizers.
Claims29
A medical device comprising (a) a substrate and (b) a bioerodable polymeric layer over the substrate that comprises (i) a biodegradable polymer that comprises an incorporated first monomer, (ii) a therapeutic agent, and (iii) a plasticizer selected from said first monomer, an oligomer comprising said first monomer, a short polymer comprising said first monomer, and combinations thereof.
A medical device comprising (a) a substrate;
- and (b) a first bioerodable polymeric layer over the substrate that comprises (i) a first biodegradable polymer and (ii) a first therapeutic agent;
- and (c) a second bioerodable polymeric layer over the first bioerodable polymeric layer that comprises (i) a second biodegradable polymer, which may be the same as or different from the first biodegradable polymer, (ii) a second therapeutic agent, which may be the same as or different from the first therapeutic agent, and (iii) a plasticizer.
A medical device comprising (a) a substrate;
- and (b) a bioerodable polymeric layer over the substrate that comprises (i) a biodegradable polymer (ii) a therapeutic agent and (iii) a plasticizer, wherein the bioerodable polymeric layer has a plasticizer-rich surface.
