Abstract
The present invention discloses a reciprocating film type evaporator for solvents and other chemicals which eliminates the need for a large powerful motor, and other associated equipment such as rotary gaskets, by using reciprocation, versus 360 degree rotation.
Claims8
A reciprocating evaporator comprising:
- a) a hollow vessel or flask to hold chemicals or solvents to be evaporated;
- b) connected to a means to allow introduction and/or removal of chemicals or solvents from the hollow vessel or flask and which is maintained at a higher relative position than the hollow vessel or flask;
- c) which is then connected to a means to rotate the hollow vessel or flask in a reciprocating manner;
- d) and a means to heat the hollow vessel or flask.
