Abstract
An exhaust apparatus provides a housing with at least one exhaust compartment disposed within the housing, and at least one draft damper repositionable to operate at orientations of about 0°, 90°, 180° and 270° with respect to a level plane of an exterior bottom surface of the housing.
Claims28
An exhaust apparatus comprising:
- a housing comprising at least one exhaust compartment;
- at least one separator fin disposed within said housing;
- an exhaust port adapter attached to said housing;
- and
- at least one movable draft damper disposed between said housing and said exhaust port adapter to allow gas flow in a direction from said exhaust port adapter to said at least one exhaust compartment and to substantially prevent gas flow in a direction from said at least one exhaust compartment to said exhaust port adapter.

A multi-port exhaust box comprising:
- a housing comprising a plurality of exhaust compartments;
- a plurality of separator fins disposed within said housing and providing a separation between adjacent ones of said plurality of exhaust compartments;
- an exhaust port adapter having a plurality of exhaust ports and a plurality of draft damper openings each corresponding to one of said plurality of exhaust ports;
- and
- a plurality of movable draft dampers disposed between said housing and said exhaust port adapter, wherein said draft dampers are operable in orientations of zero degrees, ninety degrees, one hundred eighty degrees and two hundred seventy degrees corresponding to an orientation of said housing.
2 more elements
An exhaust box comprising:
- a housing having a front opening;
- a separator fin which is disposed within said housing and partitions said housing into a first exhaust compartment and a second exhaust compartment;
- a first exhaust opening disposed within said first exhaust compartment opposite from said front opening;
- a second exhaust opening disposed within said second exhaust compartment opposite from said front opening;
- an exhaust port adapter attached to said housing comprising a first exhaust port opening in fluid communication with a first draft damper opening and a second exhaust port opening in fluid communication with a second draft damper opening;
- a first draft damper pivotably disposed between said first exhaust opening and said first draft damper opening;
- a second draft damper pivotably disposed between said second exhaust opening and said second draft damper opening;
- and
- an exterior louver removably fastened within a louver mounting flange and disposed over said front opening having portions for allowing moisture to drain through said exterior louver.
6 more elements
An exhaust apparatus comprising:
- a housing comprising at least one exhaust compartment disposed within said housing;
- and
- at least one draft damper repositionable to operate at orientations of about 0°, 90°, 180° and 270° with respect to a level plane of an exterior bottom surface of said housing.
An exhaust apparatus comprising:
- a housing comprising at least one exhaust compartment;
- an exhaust port adapter attached to said housing in fluid communication with said at least one exhaust compartment;
- and
- at least one draft damper assembly disposed between said housing and said exhaust port adapter, wherein said draft damper assembly comprises:
- a frame forming at least one draft damper window;
- at least one hinged draft damper disposed within said at least one draft damper window.
3 more elements
An exhaust box comprising:
- a housing comprising a plurality of exhaust compartments;
- a separator fin disposed between adjacent ones of said plurality of exhaust compartments;
- an exhaust port adapter comprising a plurality of exhaust ports attached to said housing in fluid communication with said plurality of exhaust compartments;
- and
- a plurality of draft damper assemblies each corresponding to one of said plurality of exhaust ports.
