Abstract
A transmission comprising a housing at least one shaft mounted in the housing such as to be rotatable; and at least one shim by means of which an axial play and an axial biasing of the shaft in the housing or between components arranged on the shaft may be adjusted. Said shim is formed from a wire bent into a ring.

A transmission comprising:
- a housing;
- at least one shaft amounted in the housing such as to be rotatable;
- and
- at least one shim by means of which an axial play and an axial biasing of the shaft in the housing or between components arranged on the shaft may be adjusted;
- wherein
- said shim is formed from a wire bent into a ring.
