Liquid ejecting apparatus and controlling method thereof

A method for controlling a liquid ejecting apparatus equipped with

• a head unit in which a plurality of heads in each of which a plurality of nozzles are disposed in a direction perpendicular to a recording medium transport direction are provided in the direction perpendicular to the recording medium transport direction,
• a control unit for driving the head unit based on image information and for performing a liquid ejection timing control for ejecting liquid from the nozzle to a recording medium for every nozzle, and
• an inclination amount storage unit in which inclination information of the head unit is preliminarily stored, the method for controlling a liquid ejecting apparatus comprising:
• calculating the most appropriate ejection timing with respect to the recording medium transport direction for every nozzle of each head;
• and
• ejecting liquid from each nozzle to the recording medium at the calculated most appropriate ejection timing.
