Systems and Methods for Providing a Utility Line Protection Plate

A method for installing a utility line protection plate, comprising:

• manipulating a utility line protection plate via at least one connecting device;
• positioning the utility line protection plate adjacent to at least one utility line and between adjacent wood studs associated with a wall;
• and
• mounting the utility line protection plate to at least one wood stud using at least one mounting device, wherein at least a portion of the utility line is covered by the utility line protection plate.

A method for protecting a utility line between two adjacent wood studs from damage, the method comprising:

• manipulating a utility line protection plate to an extended position;
• positioning the utility line protection plate adjacent to the utility line and between the adjacent wood studs;
• and
• mounting the utility line protection plate to at least one wood stud using at least one mounting device, wherein at least a portion of the utility line is covered by the utility line protection plate.

A system for providing a utility line protection plate, comprising:

• at least two plate portions configured to resist impact of a penetrating object;
• at least one interconnecting device capable of adjoining the at least two plate portions, wherein the at least one interconnecting device permits the plate portions to be manipulated to a substantially parallel orientation with respect to each other;
• and
• at least one mounting device adjacent to an edge of either of the at least two plate portions, wherein the mounting device is configured to permit mounting of the at least two plate portions between two adjacent wall studs.
