An energetic material suitable for high-energy, plastic-bonded, explosive charges, the material including an energetic plasticizer containing an energetic nitrobutyl formal, wherein a composition of the energetic plasticizer contains at least 50%, by weight, of the energetic nitrobutyl formal.

An energetic material suitable for high-energy, plastic-bonded, explosive charges, the material comprising:
- (a) an energetic plasticizer including an energetic nitrobutyl formal, wherein a composition of said energetic plasticizer contains at least 50%, by weight, of said energetic nitrobutyl formal.
An energetic material suitable for high-energy, plastic-bonded, explosive charges, the material comprising:
- (a) an energetic plasticizer including an energetic nitro formal, wherein a composition of said energetic plasticizer contains at least 80%, by weight, of said energetic nitro formal.
