Abstract
Device for the regulation of the concentration of a product in a liquid and, most specifically, of an alcohol used in the composition of a varnish contained in a varnishing vat for optical glasses or other substrates. The vat comprises an overflow tray and a sealed alcohol reservoir. The reservoir is installed higher than the overflow tray so that when level of the varnish in the overflow tray drops sufficiently low, an air bubble is created that rises to the alcohol reservoir, thus creating additional pressure in the alcohol reservoir and forcing a drop of alcohol into the overflow tray until the level of the varnish in the overflow tray recovers its normal level above the junction point between the second pipe and the overflow tray.
Claims8
1) Regulating device of the concentration of a product in a liquid, and, more specifically, of the alcohol (22) part of the composition of a varnish (10) contained in a varnishing vat (1) for optical glasses or other substrates as it comprises an overflow tray (11) fixed to the outer side of this vat (1) and connected on one side by a pipe (13) and through a continuously operating pump (15) to the vat (1) containing the varnish (10), and, on the other side, connected via a second pipe (21) to an sealed alcohol reservoir (2) placed higher than the overflow tray (11) so that when the level (18) of the varnish (10) in the overflow tray (11) drops because of the evaporation of the alcohol contained in the varnish (10) below the junction point (19) between the second pipe (21) and the overflow tray (11), an air bubble (3) forms and ascends the second pipe (21) into the alcohol reservoir (2), thus creating additional pressure in the alcohol reservoir (2) allowing a drop of alcohol to fall into the overflow tray (11) until the level (18) of the varnish (10) in the overflow tray (11) recovers its normal level (18) above the junction point (19) between the overflow tray (11) and the second pipe (21).
7) Regulating device according to any of the preceding claims which characterize it in that the alcohol reservoir (2) is an inverted bottle that has its opening (20) connected to one of the extremities of the second pipe (21).
8) Regulating device according to any of the preceding claims that characterize it in that the overflow tray (11) has a U cross-section.
