Integrated rotary valve

A system, comprising:

• a rotary lubricant valve comprising a lengthwise bore and a plurality of intersecting passages coupled to the lengthwise bore, wherein the rotary lubricant valve is configured to rotate the intersecting passages in and out of alignment with a plurality of filters, the rotary lubricant valve is configured to bypass a first filter while enabling circulation through a second filter, and the rotary lubricant valve is configured to bypass the second filter while enabling circulation through the first filter.

A method of manufacture, comprising:

• providing a valve block integral with a rotary machine;
• and
• disposing a rotary valve in the valve block, wherein rotating the rotary valve is configured to switch between routing of a lubricating fluid to a first filter and a second filter.

A method of operation, comprising:

• switching circulation of a lubricant between a first filter and a second filter in response to an angular position of a valve disposed in a valve block integral to a machine block having moving components lubricated by the lubricant.
