Abstract
A method and apparatus for using a persistent message store in a distributed computing system. A message is stored in a persistent message store, wherein the message is a copy of an original message transmitted from a message producer to a message consumer in a distributed computing system. A command is received from a requestor to search the persistent message store for a stored message, the command indicating a search rule. The search rule is processed by a rules engine of the persistent message store to search for the stored message.
Claims19
A computer implemented method, comprising:
- storing a message in a persistent message store, wherein the message is a copy of an original message transmitted from a message producer to a message consumer in a distributed computing system;
- receiving a command from a requestor to search the persistent message store for the stored message, the command indicating a search rule;
- and
- processing the search rule by a rules engine of the persistent message store to search for the stored message.
A machine-accessible storage medium including data that, when accessed by a machine, cause the machine to perform a method for a service oriented architecture, comprising:
- storing a message in a persistent message store, wherein the message is a copy of an original message transmitted from a message producer to a message consumer in a distributed computing system;
- receiving a command from a requester to search the persistent message store for a stored message, the command indicating a search rule;
- and
- processing the search rule by a rules engine of the persistent message store to search for the stored message.
An apparatus for a distributed computing architecture, comprising:
- a router networked to a message producer and a message consumer, to intercept a message generated by the message producer, and to generate a copy of the message;
- a persistent message store coupled with the router to store the copy of the message, and to receive a command from a requestor to search for the copy of the message, the command indicating a search rule, and
- a rules engine coupled with the persistent message store to search for the copy of the message using the search rule.
