Abstract
A medical image processing method for image processing of a medical image picking up an image of a living mucous comprises a boundary information detecting step for detecting boundary information corresponding to a boundary portion of a living mucous from the medical image and a mucous feature detecting step for detecting presence of a living mucous with a different feature on the basis of the boundary information detected at the boundary information detecting step.

A medical image processing method for image processing for a medical image picking up an image of a living mucous comprising:
- a boundary information detecting step for detecting boundary information corresponding to a boundary portion of the living mucous from the medical image;
- and
- a mucous feature detecting step for detecting presence of a living mucous with a different feature on the basis of the boundary information detected at the boundary information detecting step.
A medical image processing method for image processing of an image signal corresponding to a medical image in two or more colors picking up an image of a living mucous comprising:
- a first step for setting a processing target area by excluding an inappropriate pixel from a detection target in the medical image;
- a second step for calculation processing of a tone feature value for at least one or more pixels in the processing target area;
- and
- a third step for detection processing of presence of a specific living mucous on the basis of the calculated tone feature value.
