The device is applicable to systems that comprise a pressure containing tube (1), inside which there are two membrane groups (2) and (2′) that are correlatively interconnected by means of a permeate water collection tube (3). The pressure containing tube (1) includes an inlet end (5) that feeds the water to be treated into the system and an outlet end (6) to discharge the reject water and the permeate water. The device comprises an interconnector (7) placed in between the two membrane groups (2) and (2′), on which a pressure tube (13) is coupled concentrically to the permeate water tube (3). At the discharge end of pressure tube (13) there is a pressure gauge sensor (16) that measures the pressure of the reject water at the point of assembly of the interconnector (7). The device also includes pressure meters (18) and flow meters (19) that in combination with the pressure meter (21) located at the inlet point and a pressure meter (22) located at the outlet point, allows for the calculation of the osmotic pressure of the water coming out of the last membrane of the group of membranes (2), and also to calculate the load losses experienced by both membrane groups (2) and (2′), and even to calculate the total load loss and the net feed pressure for the entire membrane system.
Device for measuring load loss in reverse osmosis membrane containers, which use is applicable in sea water or otherwise salty water desalination facilities, that use a plurality of permeable membranes assembled inside a pressure container (1) fed by the water to be treated through one of its ends (5), said membranes being correlatively connected together by means of a permeate water collection tube (3), comprising an interconnector (7) placed between two consecutive membranes that serves to establish two membrane groups (2) and (2′) on either side of said connector (7) housed inside the pressure container (1), and characterized in that the interconnector (7) coupled to the permeate water tube (3) to establish the two groups of membranes (2) and (2′), presents one open end (8) and a closed opposite end (9), it also presents a peripheral area at approximately halfway of said interconnector (7) enclosing a plurality of orifices (10) arranged circumferentially and through which communication is established with an axial chamber (11) determined in the interconnector (7) itself, oriented towards its open end (8) at which there is a coupling nut (12) that connects it to a small diameter pressure tube (13) that runs along within the permeate water collection tube (3) located between the interconnector (7) and the water to be treated feed inlet (5);
