Abstract

A device (1) for catching and collecting insects is described, comprising an elongate carrier (2) intended for carrying an adhesive (K); guide means (6) for mounting the carrier (2) in such a way that it is displaceable in its longitudinal direction; drive means (31, 32) for making the carrier (2) move in its longitudinal direction; and application means (42) for applying an adhesive (K) onto the carrier (2) when the carrier (2) moves past the application means (42). Preferably, the device is provided with cleaning means (51) for removing adhered insects from the carrier (2) when the carrier (2) moves past the cleaning means (51). Preferably, the carrier is arranged along the contour of a space and provided with lures, which then have a spatial action and prevent insects from entering the space.
