Abstract
A method and apparatus for provisioning a third party mobile device emulator from desktop provisioning software, the method having the steps of: designating a common file space between the third party mobile device emulator and the desktop provisioning software; writing files to the common file space from one of the third party mobile device emulator and the desktop provisioning software; and reading the files from the other of the third party mobile device emulator and the desktop provisioning software.
Claims10
Client software for enabling communication between an emulator for a third party mobile device and desktop provisioning software, the communication occurring when either the emulator or the desktop provisioning software transfer a data file to a common file space and write an indicator file to the common file space once the data file is transferred, and the other of the emulation or desktop provisioning software reading the indicator file and data file from the common file space, the client software comprising:
- a designator for designating the common file space between the emulation and desktop provisioning software;
- and
- an interpretation module for interpreting the data files,
- wherein the client software runs on top of the emulator.
A method within client software for enabling communication between an emulator for a third party mobile device and desktop provisioning software, the communication occurring when either the emulator or the desktop provisioning software transfer a data file to a common file space and write an indicator file to the common file space once the data file is transferred, and the other of the emulation or desktop provisioning software reading the indicator file and data file from the common file space, the method comprising:
- running the client software on top of the emulator;
- designating the common file space between the emulation and desktop provisioning software;
- and
- interpreting the data files.
