Method and System For Transmitting Short Message Service Using Messenger, and Computer Readable Recording Medium Recording Program For Implementing the Method

A method of transmitting an SMS (short message service) message using a messenger, the method comprising the steps of:

• providing a user with a messenger window wherein the messenger window includes a predetermined SMS transmission area and the SMS transmission area allows the user to send instant messages to at least one other user logically connected to the sender;
• displaying a message in a display area of the messenger window in response to the user's input;
• allowing the user to select at least a portion of the displayed message;
• and
• transmitting the SMS message including the selected message in response to the user's request for transmission.

A system of transmitting an SMS (short message service) message using a messenger, comprising:

• an SMS transmission area providing unit configured for generating a predetermined SMS transmission area associated with SMS transmission wherein the SMS transmission area is a part of the messenger window and allows a user to transmit SMS messages to at least one other user;
• a first message display unit configured for displaying a message in a display area of the messenger window in response to the user's input;
• a message capacity calculation unit configured for determining a size of a message which has been selected by the user for SMS transmission and for dividing the message into parts of a predetermined reference size when the size of the selected message exceeds a predetermined reference size;
• a second message display unit configured for displaying at least one of the divided message;
• and
• an SMS transmission unit configured for transmitting the SMS message including at least one of the divided message in response to the user's request for transmission.

A system of transmitting an SMS (short message service) message using a messenger, comprising:

• an SMS transmission area providing unit configured for providing a user with a messenger window including a predetermined SMS transmission area associated with the SMS message transmission wherein the messenger window allows the user to send instant messages to at least one other user logically connected to the sender, and the SMS transmission area is a part of the messenger window and allows the user to transmit SMS messages to at least one other user;
• a message display unit configured for displaying a message in a display area of the messenger window in response to the user's input;
• a message capacity calculation unit configured for determining a size of a message which has been selected by the user for SMS transmission and for processing the selected message for SMS transmission based, at least in part, upon the size of the message;
• and
• an SMS transmission unit configured for transmitting the SMS message including the processed message in response to the user's request for transmission.
