Abstract
Below a transparent pixel electrode, an opaque pixel electrode is arranged while sandwiching an insulation film between the transparent pixel electrode and the opaque pixel electrode. A common electrode is arranged below the opaque pixel electrode thus forming a holding capacitance between the common electrode and an opaque metal electrode. In case when the pixel is divided into four or more portions, an interval between the pixel electrode and the common electrode is set to an unequal pitch size or an unequal electrode width within one pixel.
Claims10
An active matrix type liquid crystal display device including
- a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between a transparent first substrate and a transparent second substrate, wherein
- a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of drain lines which intersect the plurality of gate lines in a matrix array are formed over the first substrate,
- a pixel region is defined by surrounded region among the plurality of gate lines and the plurality of drain lines, and
- the pixel region includes TFT element, a transparent conductive layer, and a metal conductor layer,
- the transparent conductive layer is formed in the liquid crystal layer side rather than the layer in which the drain line is formed, the transparent conductive layer has bending portion,
- the metal conductive layer is formed in the same layer as the drain line and overlaps with the transparent conductive layer, the metal conductive layer has bending portion.
