## Abstract

An apparatus and method for storing an elongated article, such as a light string or the like. The apparatus includes a hollow tube and an elongated sock. The elongated sock is fed onto the hollow tube such that end of said sock is in proximity to the end of the tube. In use, one end of the elongated article is inserted through the hollow tube and is pulled through the tube along with the sock. As the length of the elongated article is pulled through the tube along with the sock, the length of the elongated article is disposed within the length of the sock.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method of storing an elongated article, said method comprising:
providing a hollow tube;
providing an elongated sock having an open end and another end;
placing said open end of the sock over one end of the hollow tube;
feeding said elongated sock onto said hollow tube until said another end of said sock is in proximity to said tube;
inserting one end of the elongated article through said hollow tube;
pulling the elongated article through said tube along with said sock, such that the length of said elongated article is at least partially disposed within the length of said sock.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1 wherein said another end of said sock is closed.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1 wherein said elongated sock has a length at least approximate the length of the elongated article to be stored therein.

### Claim 4

An elongated article storing device, comprising:
a hollow tube having a predetermined length, a first end and a second end;
a sock having a predetermined length, an open end and another end, wherein said open end of said sock is disposed around said tube and wherein a substantial portion of said predetermined length a said sock is removably disposed onto said tube such that said another end of said sock is in proximity to said second end of said hollow tube;
whereby upon inserting one end of an elongated article through said first end of said hollow tube and by pulling the elongated article through said second end of said hollow tube along with said sock, the length of the elongated article is disposed within the length of said sock.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The elongated article storing device of claim 4 wherein said another end of said sock is closed.

### Claim 6 (depends on 4)

The elongated article storing device of claim 4 wherein the predetermined length of said sock is at least approximate the length of the elongated article to be stored therein.
