Abstract
Techniques are described which may provide a rendered image of a website from a potentially malicious party. In an implementation, a rendered image is collected of a web page that is identified as potentially malicious from a frame buffer. A communication is then formed to be communicated over a network that includes the collected image.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- collecting a rendered image of a web page that is identified as potentially malicious from a frame buffer (214);
- and
- forming a communication to be communicated over a network that includes the collected image (216).
One or more computer-readable media comprising computer executable instructions that, when executed, direct a computer to:
- output a user interface configured to receive an input that identifies a web page as potentially originating from a malicious party (302);
- and
- when the input is received, compress a rendered image of the web page obtained from a frame buffer (304) of the computer.
A system comprising one or more modules that are configured to:
- decompress a compressed rendered image (504), received over a network, of a web page taken from a frame buffer of a client;
- and
- output the rendered image in a user interface such that a user may identify whether the web page was likely provided by a malicious party (506).
