Abstract
A description and storing method of an alignment information characterized by the separation of an alignment information on an amino-acid sequence or a nucleic-acid sequence into a sequence information and a gap information expressing correspondence between sequences.
Claims8
A computer-implemented method of storing the necessary minimum of information to reproduce alignment information on amino acid sequences or nucleic acid sequences, comprising the steps of
- a) generating information which represents location and length of a gap region or a corresponding region based on the alignment information;
- and
- b) storing the information generated in step a) in at least one storage device.
