Abstract
Provided is a pharmaceutical composition with synergistic anti-tumor activities, comprising baicalein and a compound of formula I, characterized in that the molar ratio of baicalein and the compound of formula I is between 1:1 and 1:4, wherein R1 represents a glucuronic acid group, and R2 represents a hydrogen or hydroxyl group. Also disclosed is the use of the composition as well as a method of its preparation.

A synergistic pharmaceutical composition comprising
- a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier,
- baicalein, and
- a compound of formula I
- wherein
- R1 is a glucuronic acid group, and
- R2 is a hydrogen or a hydroxyl group.
A method of treatment of a cancer in a patient, which method comprises administering to a patient a therapeutically effective amount of a synergistic pharmaceutical composition comprising
- a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier,
- baicalein, and
- a compound of formula I
- wherein
- R1 is a glucuronic acid group, and
- R2 is a hydrogen or a hydroxyl group.
A method of manufacturing the pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 comprising mixing a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, baicalein, and a compound of formula I

- R2 is a hydrogen or a hydroxyl group.
