Abstract
The present invention is related to pharmaceutical compositions of one or more tiacumicins that exhibit improved stability, and methods of treatment using such formulations. The formulations contain one or more tiacumicins, such as difimicin, and one or more antioxidants, such as butylated hydroxytoluene, and, optionally, one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients.

A pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of one or more tiacumicins, a stabilizing amount of one or more antioxidants, and optionally one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of difimicin, butylated hydroxytoluene in an amount of about 0.001% to about 5% of the total weight of said composition, and optionally one or more of microcrystalline cellulose, starch, hydroxypropylcellulose, sodium starch glycolate, and magnesium stearate.
