Abstract
The treatment of neurological disorders using cefazolin compositions and pharmaceutical compositions including oral dosage forms that include cefazolin compositions are described.

A neurotherapeutic pharmaceutical formulation in oral dosage form, said formulation comprising:
- a neurotherapeutic compound in an effective amount for treating a neurological disease, a behavioral disorder, or a cognitive disorder;
- wherein the compound is selected from the group consisting of penicillin sulfoxides, penicillin sulfones, cephalosporin sulfoxides, cephalosporin sulfones, combinations thereof, pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and active esters thereof;
- and
- a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier therefor.
