Abstract
Carbon fibers containing at least one element (I) selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co and Ni, at least one element (II) selected from the group consisting of Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Cu, Y, Zr, Nb, Tc, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, a lanthanide, Hf, Ta, Re, Os, Ir, Pt and Au, and at least one element (III) selected from the group of W and Mo, wherein the element (II) and the element (III) each is 1 to 100 mol % relative to the mols of element (I).
Claims36
A carbon fiber containing
- at least one element (I) selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co and Ni,
- at least one element (II) selected from the group consisting of Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Cu, Y, Zr, Nb, Tc, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, a lanthanide, Hf, Ta, Re, Os, Ir, Pt and Au, and
- at least one element (III) selected from the group consisting of W and Mo,
- wherein the element (II) and the element (III) (excluding transition metal elements derived from a carrier) each is 1 to 100 mol % relative to the mols of element (I).
A carbon fiber containing
- at least one element (I) selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co and Ni,
- at least one element (II) selected from the group consisting of Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Cu, Y, Zr, Nb, Tc, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, a lanthanide, Hf, Ta, Re, Os, Ir, Pt and Au, and
- at least one element (III) selected from the group consisting of W and Mo,
- wherein the amount of elements other than carbon is 10% by mass or less and the amount of transition metal elements (excluding transition metal elements derived from a carrier) is 2.5% by mass or less, relative to the mass of the carbon fiber.
A carbon fiber containing
- at least one element (I) selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co and Ni,
- at least one element (II) selected from the group consisting of Ti, V and Cr, and
- at least one element (III) selected from the group consisting of W and Mo.
A catalyst for manufacture of a carbon fiber, comprising
- at least one element (I) selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co and Ni,
- at least one element (II) selected from the group consisting of Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Cu, Y, Zr, Nb, Tc, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, a lanthanide, Hf, Ta, Re, Os, Ir, Pt and Au, and
- at least one element (III) selected from the group consisting of W and Mo.
A method for producing a catalyst for manufacture of a carbon fiber, comprising:
- dissolving or dispersing a compound containing at least one element (I) selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co and Ni, a compound containing at least one element (II) selected from the group consisting of Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Cu, Y, Zr, Nb, Tc, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, a lanthanide, Hf, Ta, Re, Os, Ir, Pt and Au, and a compound containing at least one element (III) selected from the group consisting of W and Mo in a solvent to form a solution or dispersion;
- mixing the solution or dispersion with a carrier to obtain mixture;
- and
- drying the mixture.
