Abstract
A contact pressure setting method of setting a contact pressure between contact members of an image forming apparatus. A film member is inserted into a gap between the contact members and the contact pressure is set so that a pulling force to pull out the film member lies within a predetermined range. Thus, the contact pressure can be accurately and easily recognized and the contact pressure can be set to be uniform.
Claims4
An image forming apparatus for developing an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive body by allowing said photosensitive body to be come into contact with a developing roller, wherein
- a contact pressure between said photosensitive body and said developing roller is set in such a manner that,
- when a strip-shaped polyethylene film whose thickness is equal to 0.03 mm and whose width is equal to 5 mm is inserted into between said photosensitive body and said developing roller, a frictional force between said polyethylene film and both of said photosensitive body and said developing roller is equal to or larger than 30 gf, and
- a pressing and contacting machine that makes the photosensitive body and the developing roller press and contact each other, the contact pressure is set through adjusting the pressing and contacting machine.
An image forming apparatus for developing an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive body by allowing said photosensitive body to be come into contact with a developing roller, wherein
- a contact pressure between said photosensitive body and said developing roller is set in such a manner that,
- when a strip-shaped polyethylene film whose thickness is equal to 0.03 mm and whose width is equal to 5 mm is inserted into between said photosensitive body and said developing roller, a frictional force between said polyethylene film and both of said photosensitive body and said developing roller is equal to or larger than 30 gf, and
- a shaft bearing portion used for bearing the developing roller and a shaft position changing machine to make a position of the shaft bearing portion change, the contact pressure is set through changing the position of the shaft bearing portion.
