Abstract
A liquid crystal display device is provided which includes first and second substrates with liquid crystal therebetween. Gate lines and drain lines are formed on the first substrate with pixel regions defined by the gate signal lines and drain signal lines. Each pixel region includes a pixel electrode and a counter electrode formed in different layers from one another, with the counter layer being formed in a layer closer to the liquid crystal layer than the pixel electrode.
Claims10
A liquid crystal display device comprising:
- first and second substrates with a liquid crystal layer therebetween;
- and
- a plurality of gate signal lines and a plurality of drain signal lines formed on the first substrate,
- wherein a plurality of pixel regions are defined by the gate signal lines and the drain signal lines;
- wherein a pixel electrode and a counter electrode are formed in each of the pixel regions,
- wherein the pixel electrode and the counter electrode are formed in different layers, and
- wherein the counter electrode is formed in a layer that is nearer to the liquid crystal layer than the pixel electrode.
