Abstract
A kit containing various kit components suitable for use in a surgical procedure is disclosed. Methods of using the kit and its components are also disclosed.

A kit for use during a surgical procedure, said kit comprising a packaging material and components sized to fit within the packaging material, said components comprising at least:
- a connector that can be used to connect a fluid supply to a trocar;
- and
- a balloon.
A method of preparing for a surgical procedure, said method comprising the steps of:
- providing a kit comprising a packaging material and components sized to fit within the packaging material, said components comprising at least:
- a connector that can be used to connect a fluid supply to a trocar;
- and
- a balloon;
- providing a trocar having a tubular shaft, wherein the tubular shaft has an outer surface suitable for excepting the neck portion of the balloon;
- removing the components from the packaging material;
- and
- assembling the components with the trocar so as to form a device suitable for pumping a fluid into the balloon so as to inflate the balloon.

A method of doing business, said method comprising the steps of:
- providing a kit comprising a packaging material and components sized to fit within the packaging material, said components comprising at least:
- a connector that can be used to connect a fluid supply to a trocar;
- and
- a balloon;
- wherein said method provides an alternative to commercially available trocar assemblies comprising a pre-assembled trocar/balloon combination.
