Method of manufacturing artificial leather excellent in elasticity

Abstract

The present invention relates to artificial leather composed of fiber entangled structure and elastomer, wherein it has excellent elasticity with the longitudinal elongation of 15% or more and elastic recovery ratio 80% or more. The artificial leather is manufactured by the steps of: integrating a fiber web and a shrinkable sheet; applying elastomer to the integrated sheet; subjecting the resulting sheet to a shrinking treatment, and then removing the shrinkable sheet. According to the present invention, there is provided a method of manufacturing artificial leather excellent in elasticity, particularly, in longitudinal elasticity which has not been achieved by a conventional artificial leather, without deterioration of surface appearance thereof.
