Abstract
A time and labor saving device used in the aviation refueling process for holding an aviation style fuel nozzle in place over a open vessel so that the filter screen may be easily inspected while additionally providing for the collection and recycling of fuel that is lost while inspection is made.
Claims18
A filter screen inspection apparatus primarily used in the aviation refueling industry wherein a open vessel for receiving spilt fuel is centrally equipped with a bayonet adapter connector therein for the purpose of attaching and holding in place an underwing fueling nozzle wherein said nozzle filter can be inspected and replaced while collecting lost fuel in a cost saving and more efficient manner.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein said Open vessel has a closable lid.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein open vessel is replaced with a sealed container.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein open vessel has a splashguard.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein vessel is made of a flexible material.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein the bayonet connection is turned as opposed to the nozzle.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein bayonet connector is interchangeable for size and style.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein bayonet connector is replaced with a threaded connection.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein base is extended to allow for the entire foot to be applied.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein base support has cleats or studs for securing base into asphalt.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein vessel has a drain on the bottom.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein handles are attached to the apparatus.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein base support extends from sides of vessel.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein base support extends from the bask end of the vessel.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein front of vessel is sloped outward.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein all walls of the vessel are sloped in an outward fashion.
A filter screen inspection apparatus as described in claim one wherein vessel have no openings or cutouts.
A apparatus for removing fuel from an aviation fuel hose, primarily used in the aviation refueling industry wherein a open vessel has centrally disposed a bayonet adapter connector therein for the purpose of attaching and holding in place an underwing fueling nozzle, wherein said nozzle is held in the open position for the purpose of venting air so that a fuel truck can perform the operation of removing or otherwise sucking the fuel from within the fuel hose as required for hose removal and replacement.
