Abstract
The purpose of the invention consists in defining a method in which, in the process of producing pile fabrics in accordance with card designs having been made, support is given, before or during processing, by a file activating the Jacquard machine in order to avoid that mixed contours are occurring.

Method for detecting colour changes in a card design which might cause mixed contours in the fabric, by means of a computer comprising central processing means, detecting means, data entering means, memory means and displaying means, wherein the data of the card design of the pattern of the fabric being entered through data entering means and a processing programme applying correction lift plans to colour changes in a manner known already, characterized in that on the basis of the data entered through the data entering means, the colour changes in the card design are detected by means of the detecting means and in that by means of the displaying means the colour changes are designated where a mixed contour is occurring in the fabric which may be impossible to be avoided by a correction lift plan.
