Abstract
Bookmark synchronization methods, systems and computer readable media are described. One exemplary method includes storing a mapping relationship between a first topology for bookmarks of a first web browser on a host and at least one of an intermediate topology and a device topology for bookmarks of a second web browser on a device and storing a mapping relationship between the device topology and at least one of the intermediate topology and the first topology, and synchronizing bookmarks on the device with bookmarks on the host. Systems, computer readable media and other methods are also described.
Claims40
A machine implemented method comprising:
- storing a mapping relationship between a first topology for bookmarks of a first web browser on a host and at least one of an intermediate topology and a device topology for bookmarks of a second web browser on a device;
- storing a mapping relationship between the device topology and at least one of the intermediate topology and the first topology;
- synchronizing bookmarks on the device with bookmarks on the host.
A computer readable medium containing executable program instructions which when executed cause a data processing system to perform a method comprising:
- storing a mapping relationship between a first topology for bookmarks of a first web browser on a host and at least one of an intermediate topology and a device topology for bookmarks of a second web browser on a device;
- storing a mapping relationship between the device topology and at least one of the intermediate topology and the first topology;
- synchronizing bookmarks on the device with bookmarks on the host.
A data processing system comprising:
- means for storing a mapping relationship between a first topology for bookmarks of a first web browser on a host and at least one of an intermediate topology and a device topology for bookmarks of a second web browser on a device;
- means for storing a mapping relationship between the device topology and at least one of the intermediate topology and the first topology;
- means for synchronizing bookmarks on the device with bookmarks on the host.
A machine implemented method comprising:
- storing first data representing at least one bookmark, the storing being part of a synchronizing process between a first data processing system and a second data processing system, the first data being obtained through a first conversion between a first topology for bookmarks of a first web browser on the first data processing system and at least one of an intermediate topology and a second topology for bookmarks of a second web browser on the second data processing system;
- transmitting second data representing at least one bookmark, the transmitting being part of the synchronizing process, the second data to be stored according to a second conversion between the second topology and at least one of the first topology and the intermediate topology.
A computer readable medium containing executable program instructions which when executed cause a data processing system to perform a method comprising:
- storing first data representing at least one bookmark, the storing being part of a synchronizing process between a first data processing system and a second data processing system, the first data being obtained through a first conversion between a first topology for bookmarks of a first web browser on the first data processing system and at least one of an intermediate topology and a second topology for bookmarks of a second web browser on the second data processing system;
- transmitting second data representing at least one bookmark, the transmitting being part of the synchronizing process, the second data to be stored according to a second conversion between the second topology and at least one of the first topology and the intermediate topology.
A data processing system comprising:
- means for storing first data representing at least one bookmark, the storing being part of a synchronizing process between a first data processing system and a second data processing system, the first data being obtained through a first conversion between a first topology for bookmarks of a first web browser on the first data processing system and at least one of an intermediate topology and a second topology for bookmarks of a second web browser on the second data processing system;
- means for transmitting second data representing at least one bookmark, the transmitting being part of the synchronizing process, the second data to be stored according to a second conversion between the second topology and at least one of the first topology and the intermediate topology.
A machine implemented method comprising:
- storing a mapping relationship between a first topology for bookmarks of a first web browser on a host and at least one of an intermediate topology and a device topology for bookmarks of a second web browser on a device;
- synchronizing bookmarks on the device with bookmarks on the host.
A computer readable medium containing executable program instructions which when executed cause a data processing system to perform a method comprising:
- storing a mapping relationship between a first topology for bookmarks of a first web browser on a host and at least one of an intermediate topology and a device topology for bookmarks of a second web browser on a device;
- synchronizing bookmarks on the device with bookmarks on the host.
A data processing system comprising:
- means for storing a mapping relationship between a first topology for bookmarks of a first web browser on a host and at least one of an intermediate topology and a device topology for bookmarks of a second web browser on a device;
- means for synchronizing bookmarks on the device with bookmarks on the host.

- storing a mapping relationship between a first topology for bookmarks of a first web browser on a device and at least one of an intermediate topology and a host topology for bookmarks of a second web browser on a host;
- synchronizing bookmarks on the device with bookmarks on the host.

- storing a mapping relationship between a first topology for bookmarks of a first web browser on a device and at least one of an intermediate topology and a host topology for bookmarks of a second web browser on a host;
- synchronizing bookmarks on the device with bookmarks on the host.
A data processing system comprising:
- means for storing a mapping relationship between a first topology for bookmarks of a first web browser on a device and at least one of an intermediate topology and a host topology for bookmarks of a second web browser on a host;
- means for synchronizing bookmarks on the device with bookmarks on the host.
