Navigation device and method for travel warnings

A method, comprising:

• determining a change of a home location of a user of a navigation device to a country with at least one designated driving rule different from a country of a current home location of the user;
• and
• prompting a user of the navigation device to enable a warning upon determining the change of the home location.

A navigation device, comprising:

• a processor to determine a route of travel based upon at least a received destination location and to determine whether or not the determined route of travel includes travel in a country with at least one designated driving rule different from a home country of a user of the navigation device;
• and
• an output device to prompt a user of the navigation device to enable a warning upon the processor determining that the determined route of travel includes travel in a country with at least one designated driving rule different from a home country of the user.

A navigation device, comprising:

• a processor to determine a route of travel based upon at least a received destination location and to determine whether or not the determined route of travel includes travel in a country with at least one designated driving rule different from a home country of a user of the navigation device;
• and
• an output device a warning a user of the navigation device prior to entry into the country with at least one designated driving rule different from a home country of a user of the navigation device.

A navigation device, comprising:

• a processor to determine a change of a home location of a user of a navigation device to a country with at least one designated driving rule different from a country of a current home location of the user;
• and
• an output device to prompt a user of the navigation device to enable a warning upon determining the change of the home location.

A navigation device, comprising:

• a processor to determine a route of travel based upon at least a received destination location and to determine whether or not the determined route of travel includes travel in another country with at least one designated driving rule different from a home country of a user of the navigation device;
• and
• an output device to prompt a user of the navigation device to view the at least one designated driving rule of the another country upon the processor determining that the determined route of travel includes travel in another country with at least one designated driving rule different from a home country of the user.
