Processing of Physiological Signal Data in Patient Monitoring

An apparatus for suppressing the effects of suppression waveforms in patient monitoring, the apparatus comprising:

• a first data processing unit configured to derive measurement data from a segment of a time series of physiological signal data obtained from a subject;
• a data collection unit configured to select, from among the derived measurement data, measurement data that fulfills at least one predetermined threshold condition, thereby to form a set of valid measurement data;
• and
• a data release unit configured to supply at least a portion of the set of valid measurement data to a further processing unit, when the amount of valid measurement data in the set is at least at a predetermined level.

An apparatus for suppressing the effects of suppression waveforms in patient monitoring, the apparatus comprising:

• first data processing means for deriving measurement data from a segment of a time series of physiological signal data obtained from a subject;
• data collection means for selecting, from among the derived measurement data, measurement data that fulfills at least one predetermined threshold condition, thereby to form a set of valid measurement data;
• and
• data release means for supplying at least a portion of the set of valid measurement data to a further processing unit, when the amount of valid measurement data in the set is at least at a predetermined level.

A computer program product for suppressing the effects of suppression waveforms in patient monitoring, the computer product comprising:

• a first program code portion configured to derive measurement data from a segment of a time series of physiological signal data obtained from a subject;
• a second program code portion configured to select, from among the derived measurement data, measurement data that fulfills at least one predetermined threshold condition, thereby to form a set of valid measurement data;
• and
• a third program code portion configured to supply at least a portion of the set of valid measurement data to a further processing unit, when the amount of valid measurement data in the set is at least at a predetermined level.
